The brass soldering tail can be soldered straight onto copper pipe and crimped on the other side to connect it to Buteline pipe.

To avoid damage to the plastic caused during soldering the Buteline collar can be removed during the soldering process and then reattached when needed.


Buteline fittings are integrally strong and durable, moulded from a high tensile premium grade custom thermoplastic and pre-fitted with annealed aluminium sleeves.

These one-piece plumbing fittings, once jointed with Buteline Polybutene-1 pipe, form a unique and technically superior joint that is maintenance free. Users will find Buteline fittings much quicker to install and more economical than other available systems.
